Nagpur: A 42-year-old woman was brutally murdered in broad daylight by her former colleague in Hingna MIDC area. The victim, identified as Anita Nargade, was repeatedly stabbed by Shubham Sawant (32).
Anita, who worked as a cleaning staff at an automobile garage in the area, had just finished her shift and was walking towards her home in Rajiv Nagar on Hingna Road when the accused allegedly followed her and launched the assault.

Locals and garage workers immediately rushed to the spot and overpowered the assailant. The accused, a resident of MIDC, was heavily intoxicated at the time of the crime. He was beaten by the angry crowd before losing consciousness.

Cops said that Anita and Shubham worked together around a year ago. Shubham was the driver of a private school bus while Anita worked as an attendant.
They were reportedly in a relationship.
Preliminary probe suggests that Shubham suspecting Anita was involved with someone else after she left the school bus job. Anita was the sole breadwinner of her family. After her husband left her and moved to Amravati district, she lived with her brother and young daughter.
