Woman files complaint after sexual attack

NAGPUR: A married domestic help facing sexual attack from her employer escaped and ran to Rana Pratap Nagar police station to file a complaint. The police, acting promptly, nabbed accused Mohan Uikey, 35, while he was about to flee.
Uikey, a daily wager, had employed 45-year-old victim for domestic work at his home. He stays in a rented room with his wife at Swavlambi Nagar.Police said that Uikey attempted to molest the victim on Friday when his wife had gone to a relative's house.
Mentally disturbed woman ends life
Lakadganj Police on Thursday registered a case of accidental death after 22-year-old Reshma Sheikh ended life. Reshma, who had been undergoing psychiatric treatment, hanged herself from the ceiling fan at her parents' place at Satnami Nagar on Thursday. Reshma had married Shaheed around a year ago.
Man robbed at gunpoint
Ganeshpeth police have registered a case of robbery after Gyandev Bihade, who was heading towards Jagnade Chowk on foot, complained of being robbed by an unidentified miscreant at gunpoint. Gyandev, who was along with son, lost cash 1,500 and his mobile phone.
Teenager dies in mishap
Jaripatka police have registered a case of accidental death after 17-year-old Bhushan Mankar was declared dead at a private hospital on Friday. Bhushan fell from the fourth floor of an under-construction mall at Teka Naka where he had gone to deliver the lunch box to his father Arjun. He was rushed to a private hospital with serious injuries but was shortly declared dead.
Labourers or domestic helps gather at Pratap Nagar square each morning from where they are picked bu by employers for odd jobs. Uikey had assured the woman he would paying her Rs 300 for cleaning his entire house. He called her around 11.30 am.
The victim told police that while she was cleaning house, Uikey held her from behind and attempted indecent acts with her. She resisted him and ran to the police station. Police have booked Uikey for molestation. He will be produced in the court on Saturday.
