Woman, cyclist killed in mishaps

Nagpur: Separate mishaps claimed the life of an unidentified woman and a cyclist on Monday evening.In the first incident near Umred Road over bridge, an unidentified speeding vehicle knocked dead a woman, in her 50s, at around9pm, while she was walking along the roadside. Hudkeshwar police registered a case. In the other incident, a youth riding a cycle was knocked dead by a speeding bus at Deepti Signal, near railway crossing. Lakadganj police arrested the accused driver Vishesh Tiwari, 40, a resident of Nari Road. He has beenbooked for rash driving causing death.Further investigations are being conducted by senior police officials.
