Woman, 4-yr-old son found murdered in Narkhed

Nagpur: A 23-year-old

woman

and her four-year-old son were found murdered in their rented house at Narkhed on Saturday evening. Narkhed police of Nagpur rural have registered a case of murder and launched an investigation.

The deceased have been identified as Priyanka Shahu and her son Angul. According to police, Priyanka and her husband Dinesh moved to Narkhed from Bihar a few months ago. Dinesh runs a pani puri cart in the village and lived in the house of one Narayan Wankhede.

On Saturday evening, neighbours noticed that there were no lights in his house. They found it strange because a Ganesh idol is installed in Dinesh’s home and the lights are usually on in the evening.

The door of the house was open. The neighbours peeked inside only to find Priyanka lying in a pool of blood on the bed beside her son. Neighbours informed Narkhed police who rushed to the spot.

It is learnt, since Priyanka’s scarf was lying in another room, cops suspect that she had a scuffle with the killer.

Cops have so far not named any suspect but are inquiring with her husband who, he claims, was at his cart till 8pm. Cops are also looking for one Ravi who had recently come from Bihar and was working with Dinesh. Ravi was supposed to leave for Bihar on Saturday but he is currently untraceable.
