NAGPUR: Paying tribute to Nobel laureate Ravindranath Tagore, DC Garg, CMD, Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) said that language is no barrier for music to touch hearts of people. Speaking after inaugurating a function recently Garg said "India is proud to have great son like Gurudev Dr Ravindranath Tagore, who has brought her name at the top in the fields of art, culture and literature."
A cultural evening to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Gurudev was organised at Sanskritik Bhawan,WCL, by the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC).
Ravinder Kumar Singhai, IPS, director, South Central Zone Cultural Centel (SCZCC) was special guest on the occasion. Garg invited the SCZCC director to organise such programmes in mining areas of the coal company. Classical vocalists from Nagpur led by Shraboni Chakraworti and Kuchipudi dancer from Hyderabad led by Dr Vanaja Uday mesmerised the audience with their performances.
