NAGPUR: Vidarbha Taxpayers Association (VTA) paid tributes to martyrs on the seventh anniversary of the deadly 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. J P Sharma president VTA along with other office bearers paid homage by lighting candles to the martyrs who sacrificed their life for the nation. Ramkishan Ojha vice-president of VTA said we sleep peacefully because our soldiers and police force guard our boundaries and cities 24x7.

Tejinder Singh Renu, secretary of VTA, spoke about the martyrs of 26/11, Asst PSI Tukaram Omble who captured terrorist Kasab alive; joint CP Hemant Karkare, chief of the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad; Addl CP Ashok Kamte, encounter specialist Senior PI Vijay Salaskar, Senior PI Shashank Shinde, NSG commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and NSG Commando Hawaldar Gajendra Singh. He also paid tributes to 138 Indian civilians and 28 foreign nationals killed in the attack.
