VED hosts panel discussion on Union Budget 2025
Nagpur: The Vidarbha Economic Development Council (VED) organised a panel discussion on the Union Budget 2025, bringing together leading experts to analyse the key budgetary provisions and their impact on various sectors of the economy. The panel comprised Tejinder Singh Rawal, CA Varun Vijaywargi, and CA Rajeev Chand, with CA Premlata Saboo moderating the discussion.
The session was chaired by past president Shiv Rao, who set the stage for an insightful dialogue. Rawal provided a macroeconomic analysis of the Budget, focusing on its impact on overall economic growth while Varun Vijaywargi delved into GST reforms, explaining changes in tax rates, compliance measures, and their implications for businesses, particularly MSMEs.
Rajeev Chand examined the Budget's impact on the startup ecosystem. Rao shared his expert views on GST policies. The panel also extensively discussed the impact of increased slab rates on disposable income and consumption patterns. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by joint secretary Ashish Sharma, in the presence of VIA president Rina Sinha and vice-president Rahul Upgalnawar.
