Unique musical event ‘Panchtatva’ portrays importance of Nature
NAGPUR: A unique musical event ‘Panchatatva’ comprising songs based on the five elements of nature was organized by
“The entire concept of the ‘Panchatatva’ is derived from the Hindu mythology wherein it is commonly believed that the five elements namely air, water, earth, fire and ether are the origin of life forms and the event is an ode to them. The selected songs pay homage to the elements and explains its importance in our everyday lives. Moreover, the art of the lyricist are highlighted here which shows how beautifully they captured the essence of human emotions and combined the same with nature. The event also celebrated the beginning of the new year and correlated the same with the beginning of life itself,” said Suchitra Katarkar, president, Saptarang.
Some of the songs presented on the occasion were ‘Khoya Khoya Chand’, ‘Diye Jalte hai’, ‘Yeh chand sa roshan chehra’, ‘Yeh hawa yeh raat’, ‘Jab chali thandi hawa’ and many more. Around 13 singers namely Amol Kulkarni, Ashish Ghate, Ashwini Lule, Nisarg Raj, Archana Chaudhary, Padmaja Sinha, Vijay Deshpande, Arun Ojharkar, Apoorva Masorkar, Pratiksh Patalwar, Rucha yenurkar, Sangeet Bhagat presented the songs with musicians Ajit Bhalerao, Vishal Dahashastra, Ravi Satfale and
One of the singers Sinha, added, “Such events provide a platform to singers who follow the profession as a passion. The concepts adds a flavour to the programmes and generates interests among the audience. It is also a platform to promote art, culture and tradition with the coming generations and their participation is a delight for all the singers.”
