Though no clear motive could be ascertained, police say Seema was mentally ill, which may have been the cause.
Another case of suicide was registered at Wadi. Victim 26-year-old Praveen Hiwse, an employee at an automobile company, had moved into a room in Wadi from Kamptee for his job. His roommate Virendra Patil had gone on a tour of Gujarat on January 9.
Throughout Friday night, Praveen's cell phone continued to ring unanswered. His father too had called him from Kamptee. When he didn't seem to answer, his roommate Virendra called up the landlord and asked him to check on him. When the landlord did so, he found him asleep'. However, when he did not wake up on Saturday, neighbours barged into the house and found him dead.
Praveen's body has been taken to Mayo hospital for postmortem and the chemical analysts are yet to determine which poison he consumed. Wadi police have found a suicide note which says in Marathi, Only I am responsible for my suicide; no one else.'
In the third case, a handicapped person, by identified only as Meshram, was found charred to death at his residence in Sadar. Police say he immolated himself after pouring kerosene on his body.
