NAGPUR: Three persons, including the son of a policeman, were arrested for allegedly thrashing constable Anil Chakre at police headquarters earlier this month.
Chakre had sustained serious injuries following which a case of attempt to murder was registered at Gittikhadan police station. Another cop, Prafulla Rathod, who had rushed to intervene in the fight, was also manhandled.
The three persons arrested were identified as Swapnil Savarkar, Vinkesh Tirpude and Rajesh Dhawas. It’s learnt Savarkar is the son of a policeman posted at
Special Branch
. Swapnil had lost his father three days before this incident.
