It was jointly organized by SCZCC and Taal Sadhana Samooh Sanstha. The music festival was a dedication to the prominent classical vocalist Pt Prabhakar Deshkar, Pt Prabhakar Khardenavis and tabla player Pt Prabhakar Desai.

The event was inaugurated by Mohan Parkhi, C Joshi, Raju Gujjar, Shyam Deshkar and Mangala Desai. The invocatory melody ‘Karu ya naman shardela’ by Madhuri Parsodkar, Janvi and Archana gave a perfect start to the event. Rajani Hudda, the anchor, gave an insight into the background of the classical musicians for whom the event was dedicated.

The first session of the evening was ‘Swar Jhankar’, a classical music fusion. Vocalist Aditya Sawarkar was accompanied by Ravi Satfale on the tabla, Pramod Deshmukh on the flute, Shrikant Pise on the keyboard, Nandu Gohane on the drum set and Nishikant Deshmukh on the violin. Solo performances by all the instrumentalists converged on a dynamic note when Sawarkar rendered ‘Main aau tore mandarava’.

The composition was presented in raag Madhuvanti, taal Addha and tarana Trital. The highlight of the evening was a jugalbandi between Satfale on the tabla and Gohane on the drum set. Both the musicians created a mood of complete euphoria and harmony as their performance was seamlessly beautiful and evocative. This session concluded with the melody ‘Yaad piya ki aaye’.

It was followed with a mesmerizing performance by Vivek Navre, from Khairagarh, on the sarod. He was accompanied by Harshal Thanekar on the tabla. With rhythm and melody at its core, their performance was a confluence of two streams of music in raag Bihag and madhya Trital.
