Swarmilan’s musical extravaganza enthrals
NAGPUR: Singers of Swarmilan music group took to the stage on Tuesday, to lead the music lovers on a trip down the memory lane. The musical extravaganza, titled ‘Yeh sama, sama hai pyar ka’, was presented by president of the group Jayprakash Malviya at Utkarsh Hall, Mor Hindi Bhavan, Sitabuldi.
Sulbha Mandekar set the tone for the evening with the beautiful rendition of ‘Chandan sa badan’, followed by Malviya’s performance on ‘Main toh har mod par’. Usha Bhosle and Sunita Ingle presented the first duet performance on the evergreen song ‘Hasta hua noorani chehra’.
The listeners were delighted by the selection of songs. ‘Dil toh hai dil’, ‘Lo chali main’, ‘Zindagi pyar ka geet hai’, ‘Tum bin jeevan kaise beeta’, ‘Tune o rangeele kaise jaadu kiya’, ‘Tera mera pyaar amar’, ‘Woh bhooli daastan’, ‘Aaj ki raat mere’, ‘O

Other songs that captivated the audience were ‘Oh hansini’, ‘Chanchal sheetal nirmal komal’, ‘Tere naino ke main deep jalaunga’, ‘Aisi deewangi’, ‘Itna toh yaad hai mujhe’, ‘Jeevan se bhari teri aankhen’, ‘Tum mujhe yun bhula na paoge’, ‘
‘Pal pal har pal’, ‘Saiyaan dil mein aana re’, ‘Jaadu teri nazar’, ‘Main chali main chali’, ‘
Latesh Kurani, Jaya Dabhekar, TK Balkrushnan, Mangesh Pawar, Vandana Vandile and Sanjay Pillay were the other singers.
The show was conceptualized by Mandekar and Pillay. Omprakash Sahu anchored the event.
