Sri Ram Sena state president Safelkar booked for property fraud

Nagpur: After a series of allegations over a disputed property at Dhargaon, Kalamna police have booked Sri Ram Sena state president Ranjeet Safelkar for his involvement in the property fraud. Police have also booked Safelkar’s partner Vijay Bhujade, a resident of Pardi, Bhandara, in the case. The case was registered on a complaint filed by a police head constable posted at Kalamna police station. Police said three people have been booked in two fraud cases related to the same property. The first complaint was filed by current accused Bhujade. As per Bhujade’s complaint, police had booked Dilkush Rangari and his two partners. According to police information, 1.35 acre property at Dhargaon is registered in the name of late Sayyed Ahmed Papamiya, who passed away in 1964. As per government records, the plot is still registered in the name of Papamiya. A year ago, Rangari and his two partners made plans to take possession of the property. Rangari created bogus documents and produced a fake Papamiya at the registrar office. However, before Rangari took possession of the property, Bhujade, who deals in disputed properties came to know about Rangari’s plan. Bhujade reported the matter to Kalamna police against Rangari and a case was registered. Later, Bhujade wanted to get hold of the property and took help of Safelkar. This time, Bhujade drew up bogus documents and on a stamp paper of Rs500 he showed a sale deed with Safelkar for Rs20 lakh. Safelkar put up a board at the property, claiming that the property belongs to Bhujade. For the second time, Rangari produced documents claiming that Papamiya is the real owner of the property and government records reflect the original documents. On the basis of Rangari’s allegations and police investigations into Bhujade’s complaint, Kalamna police found that Papamiya has no other family member and hence the property is still registered in his name. Police have now booked Bhujade and Safelkar and contacted collector office to take charge of the property.
