Songs capture mood of love on Valentine’s Day
Nagpur: The mood of Valentine’s Day was beautifully captured with singers presenting songs based on love at a programme organized by Band Elements at Utkarsh Hall of Vidarbha Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Sitabuldi, on Friday.
A mix of ghazals, romantic songs and soft rock music made the audience sway to the tunes with the singers presenting one hit song after the other. Songs reflecting the feeling of love in different moods were carefully chosen to mark the V-Day.
Group song ‘Chori chori chupke se’ was the highlight of the programme.
Purnima Joshi rendered in mellifluous voice songs like ‘Kitni bechain ho ke tumse mili’, ‘Raja ko rani se pyar ho gaya’ and ‘Mera dil bhi kitna pagal hai’ from popular movie Saajan, besides others.
While presenting ‘Kya tumhe yaad hai’, Karan Kulmethi urged the audience to sing along with him and got an instant response. He also sang ‘Jab koi baat bigad jaye’ and ‘Paani da rang’ which were received well.
Atul Hirekhan was cheered repeatedly as he sang ‘Teri ummeed tere intezar’ and ‘Tune mujhe pehechana nahi’, much to the delight of music lovers.
‘Tere dar par sanam chale aaye’, sung by Manish Naik, was another song that got applause from the audience.
Songs presented at the programme included ‘Jaadu teri nazar’, ‘Dil mera churaya kyun’, ‘Ho gaya hai tujhko pyar’ and ‘Tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana sanam’, besides others.
