Solution to various problems discussed as CENMUN ends
NAGPUR: The final day of Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar’s maiden Model United Nations, ‘CENMUN 2017: One World One Nation’ saw different committees discussing the solutions to the various agendas discussed in the conference, held at its premises on Sunday.
The 400 strong delegation conference had 10 committees on the lines of the United Nations which debated on the different agendas related to global issues. Capturing the essence of youth and giving direction to their curiosity was the main aim of the function.
Mukta Chatterjee, executive director of Centre Point group of Schools, said, “Every participant takes home not only knowledge but also tons of memories. All of us have gained experience and can use the same to shape a better tomorrow.”
The final day also comprised of the closing ceremony wherein the participants were awarded prizes. Best delegate was awarded to Sanskar Lalwani, Avni Tambi, Karan Gulwade, Tanishq Gedam, Arnab Halt, Manvi Jain, Mohul Kumar, Chirag Jaju, Aman Shaikh, Manan Daga, Samayak Surana and Vaishnavi Sarda. The best delegate school was awarded to Modern School.
“Students benefited from the conference which guided them to come up with methods to combat difficult situations in a crisis. The students also learnt international frameworks, resolutions, treaties and others helping them to comprehend the international decorum of diplomacy,” said
“Students were able to understand to approach the problem by analysing all the angles and bring about innovative, sustainable and viable solutions. Proper simulation through critical analysis and equivocal mindset was the fundamental the students learnt through the conference”, said
“The agendas chosen are very vast and through research were required for the same. The hard work of the delegates was evident from their presentations and information they provided before the audience. The enthusiasm and skills of the participants shows that the future is very bright foe our globe,” said
Mishima Singla, IP head, said, “Students came to know about the rights of the delegates and the United Nation. They were able to understand the importance the institution holds and the responsibilities that come along with it.”
“Delegates most importantly learnt about diplomacy and international relations. Proper insight into the world of global affairs were provided to the diplomats, and they learnt the methodology of the institute’s workings during war or international crisis,” said Soumya Basu, president, HSC.
