Shalarth ID scam: 2nd Chargesheet Against Eight Including Narad, Wanjari

Nagpur: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) filed a 950-page chargesheet in court in the Shalarth ID scam against eight individuals, including deputy director of education Ulhas Narad, Chintaman Wanjari, Lakshman Mangham, and Suraj Naik. The chargesheet also includes Anil Pardhi, Vaishali Jamdar, Bharat Dhawale, and Sagar Bhagole.Investigations had revealed that appointments were based on fake teacher documents and fraudulent Shalarth IDs. This allowed for the appointment of ineligible teachers and non-teaching staff, which led to the govt being defrauded of crores. Subsequently, cyber police filed a chargesheet against eight people in court.Meanwhile, Chintaman Wanjari was granted bail by a lower court on Thursday. Currently lodged in Central Jail, Wanjari is likely to be released on Friday. Also, the police custody of Nilesh Waghmare ended on Thursday, and he was remanded to judicial custody.Earlier, a 382-page chargesheet had been filed in court on July 11 against eight individuals: Parag Nanaji Pudke, Ulhas Narad, Nilesh Shankarrao Meshram, Sanjay Shankarrao Bodhadkar, Suraj Punjaram Naik, Mahendra Bhaurao Mhaisekar, Raju Meshram, and Charan Narayan Chetule.
