Sen, accomplice remanded till Nov 22

Nagpur: Social worker Rajashree Sen and her close aide Komal Kumre, arrested by Shanti Nagar police for allegedly selling a five-year-old boy a day ago, were remanded till November 22 by a lower court.

A police team would reach city on Saturday with the baby and the couple, Sikha and Prem Goyal, who had purchased him for Rs one lakh. The Goyal couple, who would be grilled, had taken the boy to Tuljapur after purchasing him from Sen.

Three of a family booked for purchasing baby

City police have registered an offence against three of a family, Vickky Jagwani, his wife Pinky and their kin Pinky Wadhwani, all natives of Janakpur in Chhattishgarh, for their alleged role behind purchasing a five-month-old boy, Afzal alias Vansh, from the city-based child selling gang.

The Jagwani couple and Wadhwani are learnt to have connived with the gang of Shweta Khan alias Ayesha Khan to purchase the boy from his mother Aliya Saif Ali alias Durga Sahu on the pretext of adopting him.

Offences have been also registered against Sachin Patil and Seema Parvin Ansari.

The rescued child and the Jagwani couple and their kin Wadhwani were handed over to Ambazari police.
