Second PI of Yashodhara Nagar station too removed

Nagpur: City police chief Amitesh Kumar on Saturday reshuffled 12 officers of inspector rank on different grounds, including failure to act against illegalities. The second inspector (crime) of Yashodhara Nagar police station, Prashant Jhumde, too was among the ones shifted.Kumar had earlier removed senior inspector Vishwanath Chavan and suspended six constables of the police station after their nexus with beef mafia had come to fore. Sources stated Jhumde’s name too had surfaced.

Senior inspector of Nandanvan police station Kishore Nagrale was replaced with Ravindra Naikwade from economic offence wing. Nagrale had failed to act against the money doubling racket. TOI had reported the lacuna in the probe.Senior PI of Tehsil police station Aniruddha Puri was shifted to traffic and replaced with senior PI of Kalamna police station, Vinod Patil. Puri’s action on beef mafia in Mominpura and adjoining areas was under scanner. Pachpaoli police station’s second PI Devendra Thakur was handed over the reigns of Kalamna police station.
