School science exhibition in city gets good response

Nagpur: North zone science exhibition jointly organized by education department and Mecosabagh Methodist High School, earlier this week, received a tremendous response with over 100 schools participating. Held on December 3 and 4, the exhibition was inaugurated by district education officer Shivling Patve and expressed his satisfaction about the event to the host school’s principal Sandeep Gaikwad.

Patwe, in his speech, threw light on value of science in our lives and how science exhibition makes learning so very interesting. Another education official Umesh Rathod highlighted the importance of organizing such exhibitions and how it helps to develop a scientific temper in students.

The exhibits were categorized into entries from primary and high school level. Uttara Bhoyar ,Rehan Razza, Janavi Bhatti, secured prime positions in the VI-VIII category. Nadeem Akhtar, Jayesh Bansod, Sushant Patil bagged first three positions in the IX-XII. Rekha Barde, Aruna Tahiliani, Gangaram Ransinghe secured merit positions in the teacher and lab attendant category. The event was a great success due to the constant efforts of Gaikwad and all other teachers.

Rev S Chandekar, Rev S Ingle, Dilip Bose, secretary of School Headmasters Charitable Association were among the guests of honour at the inaugural event.
