NAGPUR: Former Indian Test cricketer
Salim Durani will grace the 53rd prize distribution function of Bankers’ Sports Council (BSC) on September 1 here at the Bank of India Staff Co-Operative Credit Society Hall, RPTS Road, Laxmi Nagar. The annual function will be held at 5 pm on Sunday.
The 85-year-old Durani played 29 Test matches for India from 1960 to 1973. An ace all-rounder Durani was a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and a left-handed batsman famous for his six-hitting prowess.
Mumbai-based Durani is the only Indian Test cricketer to have been born in Afghanistan.
