Rishika in Indian team for World Uni Games
Nagpur: Representing Bangalore’s Jain University, city swimmer Rishika Bodele has earned her maiden India cap. An excellent performance during the trials helped Rishika qualify to represent India in two swimming events of the World University Games scheduled to be held at Chengdu, China, from July 28 to August 8.A member of city’s Aqua Sports Club, Rishika will represent the country in the 50 and 100-metres breaststroke events, said a press release. She earned her India cap during the World University selection trails held at Bengaluru.Having won many medals for Maharashtra, Rishika recently clinched two gold medals and a silver for Jain University, Bangalore, at the Khelo India University aquatic championship.Rishika was trained by Pravin Lamkhade and Vishal Chandurkar.
