Rebel literature summit inaugurated in Wardha
Wardha: The 17th Marathi Vidrohi Sahitya Sammelan (rebel literature summit) was inaugurated at the Circus ground close to the venue of 96th all India Marathi Sahitya Sammelan on Saturday. Renowned journalist Chandrakant Wankhade is the president of the summit which was inaugurated by Mumbai-based writer and actor Rasika Agashe-Ayub.
Addressing the gathering, Wankhade criticized the state and Union government, and Marathi literature federation. He said that the 96th all India Marathi sahitya sammelan got a grant of Rs2 crore as organizers indulged in praising the government. Criticizing the established right-wing thinker and authors, Wankhade said, “They are changing history and popularizing their version by organizing the summits.”
He further blamed BJP for supporting communal riots. “The party supporters are well aware that the lotus blossoms best in the mire of blood caused by riots. The workers from Reshimbagh know that the virus of RSS is nourished in an atmosphere of hatred. So, the need of the hour is to get rid of the hatred and embrace love,” Wankhade said.
He said that many Hindus converted not due to the tyrannies of the Mughal rulers but due to the cast system and oppressions of the upper caste.
Professor Nitesh Karale, rebel writer Ashok Chopade, Kishor Dhamale, Yashwant Makarand, and Pratima Paredeshi are among the organizers of the rebel summit.
Meanwhile, president of the 96th All India Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, Justice (retired) Narendra Chapalgaonkar on Saturday visited the rebel literature summit. Social worker Abhay Bang accompanied him. Chapalgaonkar was welcomed by the organizers of the rebel literature summit.

President of the opposite camp attended their summit, how many of them attended the other? I assume nil, and without attending, by hearsay they are making comments ? They can criticise right wing thinkers, but do they look ate the liberandos who wrote the Indian history ? Were they writing in 'unbiased' condition? The way reqriting with right wing is wrong, so is the left/ false-secular.Read allPost comment
