While all eyes will be on PM Narendra Modi’s second rally in the region in Akola on Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will be conducting a rally at Tiranga Square near Sangam Talkies in the city at 7pm on Monday in support of former MLA Mohan Mate, who has been given ticket this time by the BJP replacing sitting MLA Sudhakar Kohale.

From Congress, Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Singh Baghel would meet media persons at around 12 noon on Monday. Later, he would address three rallies in North, East and Southwest constituencies in support of party’s respective candidates.

BSP supremo Mayawati would be addressing a public meeting in North Nagpur on Monday to support party’s candidate Suresh Sakhre.

Modi’s first poll rally in Vidarbha was held at Sakoli in Bhandara district on Sunday where he asked voters to elect BJP candidate Parinay Fuke, who is sitting MLA and also minister of state in the outgoing BJP-Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra.

Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis started his campaigning on Sunday by addressing a rally at Timber Market Square near Ghat Road and then addressed one more public meeting at Mhalgi Nagar in Nagpur South constituency to support Mate’s candidature. Before arriving in the city, he held a public meeting in support of Nagpur West candidate and sitting MLA Sudhakar Deshmukh in Dabha.

On Wednesday, Fadnavis will address a public meeting in Pratap Nagar and on Saturday, he will be taking out a bike rally in Southwest constituency.

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee

(MPCC) president Balasaheb Thorat addressed several rallies on Saturday and Sunday in various parts of the city to support party’s respective candidates, including Congress’s city chief Vikas Thakre.
