NAGPUR: It was a great start to the week as Vinay Shukla curated a musical evening to mark Valentine’s Day. The event was held at Sai Sabhagruha, Shankar Nagar. The evening witnessed a large crowd enchanted by romantic songs presented by a fantastic group of singers.

who died on this very day. “It is solely because of them that we are able to breathe this air of freedom. We should always remember them; in happier and sad times,” said one of the singers.

The programme was organized by Pratikruti Events and Entertainment. “It is a beautiful day. Though Valentine’s Day is a western affair it is familiar in our country. It is a modern age and everyone is more accepting of new traditions. Our songs however still have that Indian touch,” said Shukla.

The singers were Vinay Shukla, Madhu Nair, Nandita Sahu, Abhijit Pophle, Ravindra Pandey, Akash Porwal, Shailja Bade, Sunita Kamble, Bhalchandra Sathe, Rupali Roy, Vaishnavi Kondawar, Shruti Rao, Kushagra Nagpal, Aishwarya Warke and Kartikey Shukla. The audience was mesmerized by the performances. The music was provided by
