Orphanage kids discover their talents at annual day event
NAGPUR: “It was a great experience for us. I’ve always loved acting and today I got the opportunity to show my skills. We want more such events to happen in our orphanage,” said Heena, an orphan at government orphanage near Katol Road Square.

There were two groups of girls 6-12 years and 13-18 years. Arti, Nikita, Parvati won prizes in singing. Rakhi, Roshni won prizes for one minute extempore. Sarita, Chandni, Ankita won prizes in hair styling competitions. Medals and mementos were awarded to the winners by the guests.
“I am very happy to receive the award, we enjoyed a lot. This event has given us exposure to outer world which is good for us,” said Ashwini, another orphan.
The girls also presented a dance performance. The programme was anchored by Deshmukh. Sunil Kedar MLA Savner, Jyoti Amge smallest women in the world according to Guinness World Records, Kamlaesh Chaudhari, Ashok Munne were the chief guests at the event.

Madad Foundation
, an NGO working for the orphans, organized an annual day function in the premises of the orphanage on Tuesday. “ Every year schools organizes annual day functions. We wanted to give similar experience to these girls. We believe it is our moral duty to give a moment of happiness to them,” said Ashutosh Sharma, president of the foundation.Sujata Deshmukh
