One more held in sexual abuse case

AKOLA: With one more arrest on Saturday, the total number of arrested persons in the sexual harassment case in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, has gone to four.
Mangesh Munganwar, a former student of Navodaya Vidyalaya of Chandrapur was arrested as co-accused who provided shelter to the two accused teachers — Rajan Gajbhiye and Shailesh Ramteke at Nagpur, the Civil Lines police station reported.Mangesh, arrested on Saturday night, was brought to Akola on Sunday and produced before special judge VN Rambi who remanded him to police custody till April 10. The other three accused too were remanded to police custody till April 10.
Boy dies in freak mishap
Akola: A 12-year-old boy, Santosh Thakre, died after his neck got fastened to the ropes used for hanging a swing. The incident took place as Santosh was playing with the swing, in the house of his maternal uncle Ganesh Sable at Ural near in Akola, said police. The boy had been residing at the house of Sable for six years.
