A letter by NU College Section deputy registrar Raman Madne to the principals and directors of all its 500 affiliated colleges informed that the portal — https://rtmnuoa.digitaluniversity.ac — operated by Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) was reopened and would continue to operate till August 28.

The letter mentioned that this would be the last chance for students to take admissions and no further extension could be provided. The colleges would have the last chance to complete the admissions formalities and submit the same to the university.

A couple of weeks ago, several postgraduate aspirants could not register their names on the admissions portal as it was not allowing them to register. Though the admissions for undergraduate courses were opened, the postgraduate link was blocked. It was reported by TOI in detail.

The portal was posing one after other problems for the aspirants due to apathy of MKCL, which was black listed by the university, NU officials said. MKCL has outsourced its operations to coordinator Shashikant Deshpande, who has been associated with the Pune-based company since its inception in 2005.
