AKOLA: While the semi government employees decided to go on strike, the state government has warned the employees that if they go on strike they will adopt the central government's policy of 'No work no pay'. The employees are to proceed on strike from November 15, the sources said.
The heads of offices and departments across state were directed to remain present and divisional commissioners were asked to submit the information to Mantralaya regarding employees on work, employees absent and employees on leave.
Interestingly, the state asked its subordinates not to grant leave to the employees and asked the employees on leave to cancel their leave and report on duty the next day. The deputy secretary of GAD SN Rankhambe issued circulars to all district collectors and divisional commissioners.
The state government employees - teachers coordination committee will observe strike on November 15 for the long pending demands including dearness allowance, filling up vacant posts, working five days a week etc. Employees of municipal councils, municipal corporations, zilla parishad are also joining the strike.
However, one of the employees' leader MK Divnale issued a press release stating that the state government employees central federation will not participate in the strike as the state conceded some demands including vacancies that will be filled by this year end and dearness allowance granted at par with central government.
On the contrary Vasantrao Khotre, MLC appealed to zilla parishad employees to join the strike. Dr PDKV non-teaching employees also supported the strike.
