Nagpur: The Central railways, in Nagpur division, have taken up numbers of measures against the coronavirus outbreak including withdrawing curtains and blankets from the Air-conditioned coaches of the trains like Duronto Express, Sewagram Express and Nagpur-Pune Express.
They have also decided to raise the temperature of the AC coaches in the view of the epidemic diseases and also provide extra bed-sheets.
On Sunday, an awareness campaign against the coronavirus was undertaken at different places on the Nagpur railway station under the supervision of Chief medical superintendent Dr Sandhya Hedawoo and Asst divisional medical officer Dr K Vinay Babu.
Counselling of cleaning and sanitation staffers were also held as a part of the anti-coronavirus measures. They were briefed about the precautionary measures required to be undertaken.
The measures include disinfection of entry door handles, partition door handles, push cocks, liquid soap container bottles, latches and others were conducted under Senior division mechanical engineer Akhilesh Choubey. The station premises and toilets also have been also disinfected.
The CR authorities, under Divisional regional manager Somesh Kumar, are set to continue with different rigorous measures against coronavirus spread in the division, said Asst commercial manager SG Rao.
