NMC's Mahila Udyojika Fair to Boosts Women Entrepreneurship
Nagpur: More than 260 women self-help groups (SHGs) from across the city are participating in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation's Mahila Udyojika Fair 2026, being held at Reshimbagh ground.The fair was inaugurated on Saturday by MLAs Mohan Mate and Krishna Khopde. A wide variety of products are on display, including food and processed food items, grains, spices, handicrafts, jewellery, herbal and organic products, clothing, and ready-made garments.A key attraction is the stall by Matrix Warriors NGO, represented by Nandini Menjoge and her team, showcasing Indian-made products such as T-shirts, moringa powder for health benefits, and Gandul Khat. Another popular stall is run by Radha Shri Mahila Bachat Gat, led by Gunwanta Wankar with three workers, offering khadi products, towels, napkins, and sarees.Municipal commissioner Abhijeet Choudhari said the fair's expanding scale each year reflects its success and its role in strengthening women-led enterprises. He added that the initiative provides a strong marketing platform for women's SHGs and promotes self-reliance among women entrepreneurs.The fair will remain open to the public till February 5, from 5 pm to 10 pm daily. Entry is free.
