Nagpur: Zilla Parishad-run junior colleges in Nagpur recorded a strong 93.45% pass percentage in the HSC examinations, putting up a consistent show across streams. Out of 214 students who appeared from six ZP-affiliated junior colleges, 200 cleared the examination.
In the Science stream, Utkarsh Shewale from Patwardhan Secondary School and Junior College secured the top position with 565 marks (94.17%). Zohra Shaikh, also from the same institution, scored 546 marks (91%) to secure the second rank. Ansh Sharma stood third with 531 marks (88.50%), completing a clean sweep for the college at the top.
In the Arts stream, the top rank was shared by two students — Srushti Motghare from ZP High School and Junior College, Kodamendhi, and Pranju Nagdevate from ZP Secondary and Higher Secondary School, Nand — both scoring 429 marks (71.50%). Ritesh Mohan Dhurve from ZP High School and Junior College, Bothiya Palora, secured the second rank with 425 marks (70.83%). Nilesh Idpachi, from the same institution, followed closely with 416 marks (69.33%) to bag the third position.
Officials attributed the performance to consistent academic monitoring and support at the institutional level. The results indicate stable outcomes across rural and semi-urban centres under the Zilla Parishad's education system.
