Nagpur Univ lowers winter exam result pendency to 15%
Nagpur: Facing an uphill task, the Nagpur University exam section was able to lower the pendency of results from a staggering 70% to just around 15% by Wednesday evening. Deputy registrar Motiram Tadas told TOI that over 1,050 results have been published, while the remaining around 190 would be out in the next five days. The university conducted 1,246 winter exams between November and February, but the results got stuck because of agency change.Tadas said the summer examinations for 50 certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses, including 17 regular ones, have also started from April 20.Regular exams for all final-year students, except BA, BCom and BSC, will commence from May 7 and 8, he said. "Results of these UG courses have been delayed, hence the students will get 15 days gap for preparations after publicaton of timetable," he said. The capital management exam was shifted to April 27 after students informed about their joining dates from May.In a letter, Senate member Manmohan Bajpai urged VC Manali Kshirsagar to take urgent steps to streamline exams, results and the academic calendar. He flagged that nearly 190 winter exam results are still pending and several declared results contain errors, while major summer exams are yet to begin. He warned that 2025-26 academic calendar is disrupted, with supplementary exams, pending results and upcoming summer exams creating a tight schedule before new session. Bajpai suggested a task force of principals, professors, officials and Senate members to ensure error-free and timely completion.
