NAGPUR: The Nagpur airport received a second bomb threat email within 24 hours on Tuesday and fourth in three months. On Monday, Nagpur airport received a similar email about a bomb being placed in one of the airport’s washrooms.
The earlier three emails on April 29, June 18 and June 24 were sent to most of the airports across the country, but the threat email on Tuesday was specifically delivered to senior director of Nagpur’s Dr Babasaheb International Airport.
Teams of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads of both Central Industrial Security Force and police searched the airport premises for the explosive. But the threat turned out to be a hoax.
The one line email received from the dark web reads ‘there is a lead azide bomb in the bathroom’. The email came from — nomen nesico mailtonobody@dizum.com) — in the morning hours.
