Musical ‘Ram Kahiye...’ evokes glory of God
Nagpur: ‘Ram Kahiye, Govind Kahiye’, a musical programme of Hindi and Marathi songs was organized by Padmagandha Pratishthan at Shri Shaktipeeth, Ram Nagar, on Wednesday evening.
The programme marked the month of Shravan and Gokulashtami. Singers Sanika Ruikar and Vishakha Mangde presented 18 devotional songs on Lord Ram and Krishna. Anjali Parnandiwar conceptualized and anchored the programme. The singers expressed spirituality through the devotional songs. The songs gracefully remembered the glory of Lord Ram and Krishna. Parnandiwar narrated a brief description of every song presented by the singers.
The programme began with the prayer song ‘Shri Ram Chandra Kripal Bhaj Man’ which was sung by a group. The song gives a beautiful message about Shri Ramachandra, who removes ‘bhava’ the worldly sorrow or pain, ‘bhaya’ (fear), and ‘daruna’ (scarcity or poverty) from the world. Asha Bhosle’s ‘Uthi Shri Rama’ was rendered with a melodious antara by Ruikar.
The ending of the song ‘Dhyaan Lagle Ramache’ was a tuneful chorus presented by Mangade, Ruikar and Parnandiwar. Ruikar again impressed with ‘Ram rangi rangale maan’. Song ‘Ram barwa, Krishna barwa’ was beautifully presented by Ruikar. Some of the devotional songs including ‘Tya sawlya tanuche’, ‘Baje murliya baje’ and ‘Murlidhar shyam hein nandlala’ received wonderful response. The finale was the song ‘Ram kahiye, Govind kahiye’ divinely presented in chorus by all three singers.
“This musical programme is to offer love and prayers to God in an attitude of utter humility and devotion,” said Parnandiwar.
