NAGPUR: Rana Pratap Nagar police on Sunday booked
Keshav Naidu and his mother
Madhavi for fraud after they allegedly sold their family-owned apartment at Chhatrapati Nagar Square to two different persons for Rs 33 lakh each over the last one year.
The Naidus had taken cheques and cash from the complainants Gopal Patel and Ritesh Ramurao and prepared two fake sale deeds.
The fraud came to notice after the purchasers came in contact with each other.
Sources in the police station stated that Keshav owns an eatery close to his residence at Chhatrapati Nagar Square. He remained elusive despite promising to return the money to the complainants. Even his mother Madhavi claimed about not having any knowledge about his son’s whereabouts for the past fortnight. Patel and Ramurao later met deputy commissioner of police, Zone-I, Nirmala Devi S, in this regard.
