Mhade, Pal entertain audience

Nagpur: Playback singer Vaishali Mhade and well-known comedian Sunil Pal entertained the audience in ‘Indradhanush: A cultural evening’ programme held at Deshpande Hall, Civil Lines, on Saturday evening. The action-packed event was organized by Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Nagpur division, to celebrate its diamond jubilee year.

‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ fame Mhade sang songs ‘Bahon me chali aa’, ‘Ya Raoji, basa bhauji’, ‘Kuhu kuhu bole koyaliya’, ‘Soch na sake’ and her own hit song ‘Pinga’.

The event began with LIC’s corporate anthem ‘Nigam Geet’. Later, singer Sarang Joshi beautifully sang songs ‘Deva Shree Ganesha’ and ‘Maine tere liye hi’. Joshi’s energetic performance was followed by singer Sagar Madhumatke’s rendition of ‘Phir wahi rat hai’ and ‘Mere sapno ki rani’ which regaled the audience. Madhumatke is known for recreating the magical voice of legendary singer Kishore Kumar.

Addressing the gathering, divisional manager Ashwini Kumar, said, “LIC crossed many milestones in the past 60 years and we will cross many more in future. LIC has 29 crore individual policy holders. It is one of our greatest achievements. The trust of policy holders and hard work of our employees is the key to our success.”

He further said that LIC has been successfully supporting families and we would continue to do the same. He also discussed the new policies and plans introduced to mark the company’s 60th anniversary.

“I have been working with LIC for many years and I feel this celebration is the best way to freshen up for future hard work. Such programmes give us a feeling of achievement and makes us really happy,” said a member from the audience.

Marketing managers Debojeet Sanyal, Sudhanshuranjan Das and other senior members were also present.
