Karnewar hits 93-ball 201 in Navniketan win

Nagpur: Akshay Karnewar (201 n.o; 93b, 12x4, 19x6) made the most of CDCC’s inability to field a playing XI in a 3-Day game league of Dorairajan Trophy. Karnewar blasted 201 in just 93 balls, hitting 19 sixes and 12 boundaries. His knock threw CDCC out of the match early. On expected line, CDCC were thrashed by an innings and 279 runs on on Sunday, the Day 2 of the match.Opting to bat, the 10-men CDCC made 63 for 8 with their last man getting retired hurt. In reply, Navniketan punished CDCC for 80 overs and made 545 for 9 declared. Along with Karnewar, Varun Palundurkar also made 107 in 105 balls. Opener Akshay Agarwal made 75 runs.
