High Court Bar Association-Nagpur organises interactive session with Justice Bharati Dangre
Nagpur: The High Court Bar Association, Nagpur, organised a bar visit and interactive session of Justice Bharati Dangre with its members at HCBA recently.
Justice Dangre, who has been assigned to the principal seat at Bombay High Court, is current at Nagpur Bench. Justice Dangre originally hails from Nagpur. After a practice of more than 20 years, she was appointed as government pleader at the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court in 2014. She was then elevated as a High Court judge in 2017. In his welcome speech, president of HCBA Atul Pande pointed out the remarkable journey of Justice Dangre, from a distinguished first generation lawyer, to fearless government pleader and to her present position as a judge of Bombay High Court.
Justice Dangre urged lawyers to be more open to technology. She encouraged junior lawyers to argue more matters and broaden their intellectual horizons. She acknowledged the substantial increase in the number of women joining the Bar and their significant contribution in legal profession.
After her address, Justice Dangre was felicitated on behalf of HCBA, Nagpur, by president Atul Pande and secretary Amol Jaltare. The event was attended by many lawyers, including senior counsels. Jaltare proposed a vote of thanks. (Reporting by Devyani Naukarkar)
