Intl expo on India’s Covid vaccine journey at Raman Science Centre

Nagpur: The traveling international exhibition ‘Vaccines Injecting Hope’ arrived at the Raman Science Centre on Saturday. The exhibition, which offers an insightful journey into India’s Covid vaccine development, will be on display in the city until December 31, before it continues its journey to Mumbai.
Dr Raj Gajbhiye, dean of Government Medical College and Hospital, who officially welcomed the traveling exhibition’s caravan, Dr Atul Vaidya, director of CSIR-NEERI, AD Choudhury, director general of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), and Samarendra Kumar, deputy director general of the NCSM, were present during the inauguration ceremony.
The exhibition has been divided into sections, including ‘The Arrival of New Virus,’ ‘Designing a New Vaccine,’ ‘Trials, Results, and Approvals,’ ‘Scaling Up & Mass Production,’ ‘Vaccine Rollout,’ and ‘Living with Covid.’ Through these sections, the exhibition tells the story of global effort to develop vaccines, offering historical and contemporary insights into the world of vaccinations.
Arnab Chatterjee, the project coordinator, said that the exhibition highlights the scientific principles behind vaccine creation, efficacy, and the relentless work that goes into their development, production, transport, and delivery.
