Hyderabad startup wins Innopreneurs 2022
Nagpur: Over the years, Lemon Ideas has lend a helping hand to numerous startups. It started ‘Innopreneurs’ in 2014. The seventh edition of the startup contest concluded on Saturday.
This season too saw tremendous success with over 1,400 registrations from not only India but also from countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Uganda, Maldives, and several more.
The finale was organized at Chitnavis Centre. Top 10 finalists from around 500 presentations put forth their startup ideas in front of the jury members — P Janaki Ramudu, director, IMT Nagpur, Hakimuddin Ali, executive director (cements), Dalmia Cements Ltd, and Nitin Sachdeva, managing director, delaPlex, Nagpur.
The finalists were selected after a rigorous exercise, constant monitoring and thorough assessment.
The startup contest was won by Hala Mobility, founded by Srikanth Reddy Kalakonda, a resident of Hyderabad. The motto behind his startup was to move India towards sustainable and zero carbon footprint mobility. He bagged cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, 10,000$ AWS credits, and Lemon credits.
Project Baala founded by Soumya Dabriwal and Aradhana Rai Gupta won the second runners-up award while Petrobot Technologies Pvt Ltd founded by Romit Kalra was the first runners up.
Neha Chauhan, founder of Avitron Aerospace, won the prize for Best Women Team category. Best Team from Concept of Bharat and Circular Economy were two other categories which were won by Nirmesh Rajyaguru and his team, founders of BetaBuilds Technologies, and Kunjpreet Arora and team, founders of Angrius Pvt Ltd respectively.
Vilas Kale, serial entrepreneur and social Worker, Chintan Vaishnav, mission director, Atal Incubation Mission, New Delhi, Sarah Nassimwa, investment executive, investment promotion, Uganda, Suresh Rathi, president of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA), among many others witnessed the finale in person and virtually.
Former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis extended his best wishes to the top 10 finalists virtually.
“It was an honour to go through so many startup ideas based on solving problems people in rural areas face,” said Deepak Menaria, founder of Lemon Ideas.
Innopreneurs CEO, Krishnkant Chaturvedi said, “Innopreneurs is not only about competition, but it is about co-creation, collaboration, training and mentoring. We believe in uplifting and supporting the startup ideas, where competing becomes only a minor part of the aspect.”
Chaturvedi also started that over the years Innopreneurs has evolved into ‘What an Idea Contest’ and ‘Innopreneurs Junior’ which further broaden the entrepreneurship platform at Lemon Ideas.
The next season is expected to commence in August 2022.
Sourav Ganguli, national head of Institutional Partnership at Lemon School of Entrepreneurship, presented the vote of thanks. The finale was hosted by Mukesh Ashar, director, Lemon School of Entrepreneurship.
