Hit-and-run claims life of 68-year-old in Khaparkheda

Nagpur: A 68-year-old man, Shrikrishna Dhoke, a resident of Madhwani Layout, lost his life in a hit-and-run accident on Friday. The incident occurred as Dhoke returned home on foot after attending a function.Dhoke was hit from behind by a rashly driven bike when he was crossing the road in front of his residence. The accused fled the scene after the accident. Dhoke sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Following a complaint by his daughter, Yashasvi Dhoke (23), Khaparkheda Police Station registered a case against the unidentified two-wheeler driver under Sections 106(1) and 281 of the IPC, along with Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
