CHANDRAPUR: Bollywood star and BJP MP
Hema Malini campaigned for the BJP candidates who will be contesting the municipal elections at four places in the district on Friday. Adding glamour quotient to the campaign, she held three public rallies at Ballarpur, Mul and Rajura and sought support of the people to help her party gain power in all the councils going for polls on November 27.
Hema Malini was highly impressed by the development works carried out in finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar’s constituency.
“I was told that my rally will be in a village called Mul and Ballarpur. However, I see that these are highly developed towns. The development work carried out by Sudhir Mungantiwar in Ballarpur and Mul towns in his constituency are unparalleled. I am planning to take tips from him for development of my Lok Sabha constituency — Mathura,” she said. She pointed out that the quality of roads, water supply scheme, development planned for bus stations in two town are impressive.
She held that Maharashtra is in able hands of chief minister
Devendra Fadnavis and finance minister Mungantiwar. He had successfully carried out two crore tree plantation drive in the state and Limca Book of Indian Records have taken note of it. Similarly, measures taken up by Mungantiwar for financial development have been appreciated by ‘India Today’ and the group had honoured him for his achievement. Bollywood diva sought votes for BJP candidates and called upon the voters to strengthen the hands of Mungantiwar and help the party to gain power in all the municipal councils.
Mungantiwar in his address stressed that he has resolved to turn Ballarpur and Mul towns into two of the best towns in the state. The guardian minister went on to narrate the list of development he has carried out in two towns and called upon the people to vote for BJP for sake of development. Large crowd was present in all the rallies held by Hema Malini.
