Goon damages RTO, deputy RTO's official cars

NAGPUR: A notorious goon Sachin Dhote, who also works as a tout, sneaked into the city Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Giripeth on Monday night and damaged official cars of Regional Transport Officer Sarjerao Shelke and deputy RTO Vijay Chavhan.
Chavhan told TOI that five miscreants, led by Dhote, entered the city RTO premises at around 8pm and used abusive language in front of two RTO peons Ganesh Tekam and Sharad Lakshane, who also work as guard during night hours.The peons ignored Dhote as it has become a routine affair. Dhote is also infamous for his involvement in antisocial activities on the RTO premises.
However, at around 10.30am Dhote came to the porch and before Tekam and Lakshane could understand his motive, the accused started pelting boulders at the RTO and deputy RTO's official cars. Apart from damaging beacon of RTO's vehicle, windscreens of both the vehicles were totally damaged.
The attack seemed to be well planned as the goons had tilted the CCTV cameras installed at the entrance of the office. Sources said Dhote's father also worked on the city RTO premises as a tout.
On being informed by the guards, Chavhan and assistant RTO Kiran More reached the office and also lodged a complaint against Dhote and his six accomplices under relevant sections of the IPC. Sitabuldi police are investigating the matter.
