Gang dupes family of Rs2 crore by promising govt jobs, petrol pump
Nagpur: A gang allegedly duped a 64-year-old resident and his relatives of Rs 2 crore by promising central govt jobs and allocation of gas agency and petrol pump.Namdev Kadu lodged a complaint at Beltarodi Police Station after being duped by four accused — Ramchandra Patil (36), resident Multai, MP, Devendra Bhargava (55), resident of Gwalior, Shivam Sen (35), resident of Bina, and Yogesh Mishra (61), resident of Lucknow.

The accused, boasting of connections in central ministries and departments including Railways, income tax, archaeological survey, NITI Aayog, and FCI, promised jobs to the complainant's son and daughter, along with a gas agency, petrol pump, warehouse, and govt tenders. They issued fake appointment letters and forged allotment documents to build trust.The fraud began with smaller amounts but kept growing, with the gang collecting ₹75 lakh in the initial days before the total reached almost ₹2 crore through online transfers and cash from the complainant and his extended family members.A case was registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita: 318(4), 336(2), 336(3), 340(1), 340(2), 339, 341(1), 342(1), and 61(2).
