Four minors among 8 accused of assault
Nagpur: A group of eight, including four minors, assaulted a 27-year-old financier Rohit Suryavanshi while the latter was sitting in a cafe in Laxmi Nagar area on Wednesday. The incident is believed to be the result of a rage altercation that occurred a month ago.According to police, the attackers used sword and metal rod during the assault. Suryavanshi sustained deep cut on his hand and other injuries. He was rushed to a hospital and later discharged.Police have so far arrested two of the four adult accused. All four minors have been detained and sent to a juvenile correctional home.Around a month ago, Suryavanshi had allegedly abused an individual during a road rage episode after the person narrowly edged past his vehicle. The group is believed to have attacked him over the incident.Police are also reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to piece together a clearer timeline of the assault and confirm involvement of each accused.
