Food delivery agent killed as car hits his motorbike in Nagpur

A 22-year-old food delivery agent, Chetan Rajeshwar Gawade, was killed and his friend seriously injured when a speeding car hit their motorcycle in Nagpur. The driver, Ajnan Izrar Hussain, has been apprehended by police. Gawade was employed with Zomato and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Mayo Hospital.

NEW DELHI: A 22-year-old food delivery agent was killed and his friend seriously injured when a speeding car hit their motorcycle in Maharashtra's Nagpur city, police said.
Following the incident at Ajni Square in Dhantoli police station area late Monday night, authorities apprehended the car driver.
The official from Dhantoli police station reported that the two individuals were travelling to Manewada area with a parcel when their two-wheeler was struck by the car.
The food delivery agent, Chetan Rajeshwar Gawade, was rushed to Mayo Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival, according to the official.
Police confirmed that the deceased was employed with the food delivery platform Zomato.
His companion, aged 23, sustained severe injuries and was receiving medical treatment.
Police later took into custody the car driver, identified as Ajnan Izrar Hussain (25), a resident of Ajni railway quarters.
