Five Yavatmal Tourists Stranded in Dubai Amid Iran-US Tensions
Yavatmal: The escalating war-like situation between Iran and United States has significantly disrupted international air travel, directly impacting five tourists from Yavatmal district who are currently stranded in Dubai. The five friends — Rajeev Nilawar, Raju Lohana, Satish Banginwar, Nikhil Jirapure (all residents of Yavatmal), and Shyam Patil from Digras — went to Dubai on February 24 for a leisure trip. After spending several days visiting tourist attractions in the city, they were scheduled to return to India on Saturday. However, due to heightened tensions between Iran and the United States, several international flights have been cancelled for security reasons, including their return flight. As a result, the group remains stranded in Dubai with uncertainty looming over their journey back home. 03:15
According to the stranded tourists, while international flight operations have been disrupted, normal life in Dubai continues without panic. They stated that there is no atmosphere of fear in the city at present. However, the sudden cancellation of flights and the lack of clarity about resumption of services have created anxiety about when they will be able to return home. Speaking about the situation, Raju Lohana said, "We arrived in Dubai on the 24th and were scheduled to return tomorrow. However, we were informed that our flight had been cancelled. The situation here is calm, but we are worried about when the return journey will resume." The families of the stranded tourists in Yavatmal are closely monitoring developments regarding international flight operations.
