Five arrested for preparation of dacoity

NAGPUR: Kamptee police have nabbed five culprits, including couple of hardcore criminals, seizing sharp weapons from them. It’s learnt that one of them fled spotting cops approaching the place. The gang was preparing to commit docoity.
It’s learnt that a police squad, receiving an information, reached Ranala village around eight kilometer away from Kamptee where an armed gang had assembled for committing a serious offence.
Seeing cops reaching in substantial number, the miscreants started fleeing but were unable to go much distance except one who slipped away in the dark stretch.
The persons arrested have been identified as Sheikh Fareed. Sheikh Nazir, Pranay Thawre, Sheikh Wasim Sardar and Milind Chavan. Sheikh Akbar, for whom police has now launched a manhunt, fled the spot. It's learnt that substantial chilli powder has been seized from the gang apart from sharp weapons.
