Constables on patrolling duty thrashed

NAGPUR: Two police constables on patrolling duty were thrashed and assaulted while chasing three youths on a bike. The incident took at Tulsi Nagar in Pavangaon under the jurisdiction of Kalamna police station on Sunday night. Dinesh Ninave, Pankaj Khobragade and Aakash Khobragade, all in their 20s, were arrested for thrashing the cops.Police constables Nitesh Kumre and Vijay Yadav saw three youths on a bike loitering around a residential area in Tulsi Nagar. Finding them suspicious, Kumre and Yadav asked them to stop but the youths sped away.After a chase of few minutes, the trio were finally nabbed by the police. Before the constables could interrogate them, the trio started abusing and hitting them. The cops immediately alerted nearby Kalamna police station and the trio was taken to police station with the help of other staff.
