Yavatmal: A joint team of the district supply department and the local crime branch launched a major crackdown against hoarders and seized 40 LPG cylinders from a house in Pusad.
The joint raid was conducted following directives from district collector Vikas Meena amid concerns over LPG shortage in the district.

Police have registered an offence against Arif Mohammad Kachchi, a resident of Noor Colony in the Subhash Ward area, for allegedly stockpiling cylinders and selling them in the black market at inflated prices.
Sources said the local crime branch received a tip-off on Friday that LPG cylinders were being stored at a house. During the search, officials recovered cylinders of different companies along with 23 regulators, collectively valued at around ₹2.5 lakh.
